On the occasion of the anniversary are two firms, Company Water Ltd and Jogros Catering Ltd, joined forces to produce and sell a half-liter water bottles in favor of Ribe.
For every bottle sold goes 50 øre, (Half a Kr.) to a single gift that the whole town can enjoy.
The gift is a painting, which from 2011 will hang at Ribe Art Museum. The painting is not found yet and purchase also depends on revenues from the sale. So buy a bottle of water and give a gift to Ribe.
Ribe Art Museum in St. Nicolaj Gade was founded in 1891 by Ribe Art Association. Ribe Kunstmuseum dealing with Danish art from 1750 to 1950.
Ribe Art Museum is housed in a large mansion in 1864. The villa was built by and belonged until 1891, cotton manufacturer Balthazar Giørtz. In 2010 becomes Ribe Kunstmuseum renovated and rebuilt, so the exhibition is temporarily moved to the Black Friars Street by Quedens Farm.
All merchants in Ribe and its surroundings have the opportunity to purchase and sell the water. As part of the agreement has Jogros Denmark A/S promised that they will deliver as little as 1-2 cartons of water for the companies that either want to sell water or use it for meetings, conferences etc.
